Mo'Nique reportedly confronted a Black woman for wearing a bonnet in public
Since the month of May now Mo’Nique has been on a mission to "love tap" young Black women when she sees them wearing head scarves, pajamas, blankets, slippers, and bonnets outside of the home. It's being reported as of late that Mo'Nique was climbing Stone Mountain and spotted a Black woman, indeed, wearing a bonnet. Mo'Nique has been blasting the bonnet bandits saying that showing up in airports and other public spaces displays a lack of self-respect and that they need to "do better" in representing the Black community.
Yet, Mo'Nique made this latest one in a bonnet...do the "bonnet dance."
I agree that for a woman to show up in public donning a bonnet looks unwashed, uncouth, and flat out tacky... But Mo'Nique can keep that same energy, for, say, like, police accountability, um, the fight for reparations, curing a disease, reviving her career...
