Cater 2 U - Destiny's Child
The lovely people of Twitter apparently have too much time on their fingers by digging in the crates and getting into their feelings about days long gone by. A user started yet another Twitter storm by simply posting: “Me listening to ‘cater 2 u,'” in which she/he ended the comment with a side-eye meme. This individual expressed that the lyrics to the 2004 Destiny's Child hit have been bothering her all of these years and that she has been waiting to have a conversation about it ever since.
The commenter also chimed in: “Beyoncé lost me in the first verse when she said ‘My life would be purposeless without you.’” And another and another comment attempted to psychoanalyze brushing dude's hair and helping him put his durag on🤣🤣🤣. One of the guys who stopped by wrote in support of the song: "The fact that it’s mostly Black women saying they don’t agree but want that future man to take care of them, and spoil you? Why wouldn’t you want to spoil him back when he’s being everything a man SHOULD be to you.” In addition to the grammatical errors, don't do that bruh. This is not about race.A few years back in 2018 even Michelle said that the lyrics were unrealistic...except for her verse: At the time Michelle said she's all about empowering and uplifting a man, but, "I wish you would tap me on my shoulder while I'm sleep," slighting Kelly's verse.
Anyway, no one seemed to mention these parts of the song, which I say makes this man definitely deserving of a little cater-ing.
