Capitalizing Black

It's about pride. It's about identity. It's about the culture. It's about time. The Associated Press became the latest media organization to change its policy to capitalize “Black.” Other large outlets that recently adopted this change include the USA Today Network, NBC News and the Los Angeles Times. (The change is under consideration at The Post.)
"Black" is a shared identity and culture, "black" is a color in a crayola box. While "Black" versus "black" is of great importance it is incomparably minute to every single "Black" person who has had and continues to have their life taken at the hands of dirty racist police. We have not forgotten. And we never will.
