The Choice Is Clear

Joe Biden has been out and about and
on the ground talking to protesters and meeting with Black religious, political and community organizers, especially since following the senseless policing killing of George Floyd. Today in Wilmington, Delaware, presidential hopeful Biden listened to the hurts and frustrations of Black leaders and laid out steps to combat systemic racism and create new police reform. On the other hand, I refuse to stomach another four years of Bull Connor 5.0. The National Guard, police dogs, "ominous weapons," refusal of supplies for the virus, are all the trappings for making America great again...definitely not for Blacks. I am a Black woman and I do not believe that it is essential that Joe Biden selects a Black female running mate. People need to stop saying that. Call it selecting the lesser of two evils, or more like a necessary evil. Staying home, staying silent is as complicit as those dirty cops who stood by saying nothing while another dirty cop took a knee to a Black man's neck. This White House must go! To November...
