Ice Cube calls for action concerning ‘cop watcher’ ordinance

Ice Cube seems to be AmeriKKKa's most wanted right now due to speaking out on a new Tucson, Arizona ordinance that allows police to arrest people for filming/observing them. This ordinance that passed back in April calls for a class two misdemeanor, up to four months in jail, for "Interfering with Police Investigations or Enforcement Activity," and/or a $750 fine. The City Council there is claiming this is due to one of their officers being berated with profanities and slurs by one person who makes it his mission to confront police for YouTube views.

Criticism coming from both Cube and the ACLU has forced the mayor's hand to ask the City Council to "review what actions this ordinance prohibits and, just as important, what it does not prohibit." Cube is also calling on the mayor for an emergency meeting to "make sure (the ordinance) is pro people and not pro law enforcement," while vowing to not step foot back in Tucson until that ordinance is changed. The author of F*** Tha Police cancelled a Good Morning America appearance in the wake of the unjustified police killing of George Floyd. Cube is no stranger to advocating for justice for Blacks, especially concerning police brutality/killings, down through the years, from the Rodney King beating in Los Angeles to the unjustified police killing of Freddie Gray in Baltimore, and to this day.
