Black teen quits Publix supermarkets; won't allow him to wear Black Lives Matter face mask

Black teen Publix Super Market employee Quinton Desamours was sent home from his job for simply having the letters "BLM" on his face mask. Mr. Desamours was told by an assistant manager that he is not certain if Publix is "pro or con" concerning the Black Lives Matter movement and that Mr. Desamours was endangering himself as well as his co-workers.

But what the 18-year-old is certain about: "I will no longer be working for publix. Stand for something or you’ll fall for anything! #blacklivesmatterFL...They say they stand for justice against racism and inequality but as soon as I stand up against something in their uniform, they don't like it. Their words don't stand behind their actions. We're at a tipping point in America. Change has to come now and I'm happy that I'm part of the generation that brings the change. No place is a bad place to stand up for what’s fundamentally right!"
