Jury rules in favor of Stockton man who was violently arrested by police officers and lost his teeth
Justice wins the day in the case of Joseph Green, 27, versus the city of Stockton and two police officers. That is, if the two bums pay up his $710,000 award within 60 days as promised. A civil jury decided in Mr. Green's favor that two police officers made a false arrest and used excessive force against him.
On February 17, 2011, a 16-year- old Joseph Green went inside of a convenience store to buy candy for his 5-year-old sister while his mother filled the car up with gas. It was reported that Joseph Green tried to pay with a damaged bill, which the clerk wouldn’t take. Plainclothes Stockton police Officer Robert Johnson, who was grabbing water with his partner, Officer Robert Wong, was waiting in line behind Joseph Green. He turned to leave the store and then the attack ensued, leaving Joseph Green's blood and two front teeth on the floor, all which was caught on surveillance cameras.
The jury found on January 22, 2020 that Johnson indeed falsely arrested Joseph Green and used excessive force. These bums continue on the force today and have been rewarded as a sergeant and Officer of the Year.
