Harriet Tubman: "Wakanda Forever" Smh
I can see Judge Joe Brown is having a hissy fit over this. And Julia Roberts is probably wondering why she isn't on a debit card.🤦🏽♀️ Cheap talk of putting Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill was insulting. Harriet Tubman throwing up Wakanda Forever on a debit card, courtesy of Black-owned OneUnited Bank is sickening.
OneUnited Bank is the country's largest Black-owned bank and the first Black-owned internet bank, but is making history for all of the wrong reasons. OneUnited decided it a bright idea to make a new limited-edition Black History Month version of its Visa debit card featuring slave and abolitionist Harriet Tubman.
OneUnited Bank, founded in 1968, is Black-owned and managed with five branches. It is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts and maintains more than $600 million in total assets. Aside from mortgage lending and refinancing, OneUnited focuses on teaching financial literacy to urban youth, training for customers to improve their credit score, to empower our community and close the racial wealth gap. President Terri Williams Kohee and artist Addonis Parker say they are unapologetically Black and stand by the Harriet Tubman "Wakanda Forever" Visa card.
