First Black Woman Captain in 82-Year Louisiana State Police Troop History
Captain Treone Larvadain has been promoted to lead Protective Services for the Louisiana State Police, becoming the first Black female captain in Louisiana State Police history.
Back in 2018, Captain Larvadain was also part of the first "mother-daughter duo" in the same department's history. 23-year-old daughter Tiah Larvadain became part of the first mother-daughter duo in state police history after following in her mother's footsteps.
Captain Larvadain has more than 20 years of law enforcement and 12 years with state police.
The mother-daughter pair said they hoped to send a message to other women that they can have success in law enforcement.
Respect!
