Black College Swimmer Files Lawsuit Against Police Who Held Him At Gunpoint
Black Eastern Illinois University student Jaylan Butler said police officers threatened to blow his head off before they "mistook" him for a suspect.
Mr. Butler was returning from an out-of-state swim tournament with his teammates and coaches when at least six officers surrounded him, handcuffed him, and pointed a gun at his head.
Now the 20-year-old sophomore is hitting them in the pockets. Mr. Butler has filed a lawsuit in January in for unlawful search and seizure, false arrest and excessive force.
