Show Me The Money

So this is still a thing...More states are passing salary ban laws, prohibiting employers from asking job applicants about their salary history.

The state of Illinois has followed suit. The cities of New York, Atlanta, New Orleans have gotten on board. Philadelphia is trying to sue their way out of it. Smh. Evidence shows that employers gauge past salary to pay the same or even less when hired. When employers don't know past salary, the interviewer is more engaged in asking questions that actually relate to the position, wage is highly likely increased by double digits.

Yet, there will still be some employers who will always ask the question. Just know your rights.

Some other illegal, underhanded line of questioning I loathe:
1.) How old are you?
2.) Are you married?
3.) Do you have children?
4.) Do you celebrate Christmas?
5.) Do you take prescription drugs?

All nothing to do with job performance.
