Remembering The Beautiful Father-Daughter Relationship of Kobe Bryant And Gianna Bryant
The world is mourning the sudden and shocking loss of Kobe Bryant, 41 and daughter Gianna "Gigi" Bryant, 13, who died tragically in a helicopter crash en route to her basketball practice yesterday. Gigi was a rising basketball star and was following in her father's footsteps. It's being reported that nine people were killed aboard the helicopter. Rest in peace to Kobe and Gianna Bryant and to everyone aboard the helicopter. And prayers and condolences to all of the families.
Definition of an excellent father: The hallmark of every great father-daughter relationship is a father who is actively interested and involved in his daughter's life. Being involved is about more than asking about her day. Instead, it means finding out what she is interested in or excited about and sharing in it with her.
Kobe Bryant Quotes
1.) I made a choice when I was about 13. When people watch me play, I want them to leave the gym saying that they just saw a kid who gave everything he had, who had natural abilities, but he played as if he was the 12th guy on the roster. If I can be remembered as a person who squeezed every ounce of juice out of this orange that he could, I'll be happy with that.
2.) I'll do whatever it takes to win games, whether it's sitting on a bench waving a towel, handing a cup of water to a teammate, or hitting the game-winning shot.
3.) The mindset isn't about seeking a result—it’s more about the process of getting to that result. It’s about the journey and the approach. It’s a way of life. I do think that it’s important, in all endeavors, to have that mentality.
4.) "When we are saying this cannot be accomplished, this cannot be done, then we are short-changing ourselves. My brain, it cannot process failure. It will not process failure. Because if I have to sit there and face myself and tell myself, 'You're a failure,' I think that is worse, that is almost worse than death.
5.) You guys know that if you do the work, you work hard enough, your dreams come true. But hopefully, what you get from tonight is the understanding that those times when you get up early and you work hard, those times when you stay up late and you work hard, those times when you don’t feel like working, you’re too tired, you don’t want to push yourself, but you do it anyway, that is actually the dream. That’s the dream. It’s not the destination, it’s the journey. And if you guys can understand that, then what you’ll see is you won’t accomplish your dreams. Your dreams won’t come true. Something greater will, then I’m doing my job as a father.
