Nationwide FedEx Text Message Scam Alert

This isn't your granddaddy's scam. No one is falling for the shady looking con artist on the street corner fake-selling TVs that's really bricks in a box anymore. At least I hope not. These days scammers are coming through the technological route in which they are emailing and texting you. Amazon as well as FedEx are the latest companies being used by scammers in order to get your credit card number and other personal information. The fake text message from FedEx is saying that the customer's package is ready and they would like to know your delivery preferences. The message comes with a tracking number and a link. FedEx sent out a tweet saying this is not them and that people should not click on the message.

Between all of these emails, robocalls, and texts, people are getting their credit cards maxed out, bank accounts emptied, and losing homes. I am unbothered with unrecognizable telephone numbers and suspect texts and links. And I don't need help tracking a package. Don't come for me if I don't send for you.
